A press release issued by the company today reveals that the initial manufacturing run of the Apple Peel 520 has left the factory and is on its way to those who agreed to carry it in China and the US.

“Created by Chinese developer Yosion, the Apple Peel 520 is a cutting-edge wireless skin capable of transforming Apple’s iPod Touch media player into a smartphone,” the product’s description goes.

The people at GoSolarUSA try to entice potential buyers, adding that “The startling new technology represents a more affordable alternative to purchasing Apple’s costlier iPhone.”

Before migrating to North America, Yosion’s iPod touch accessory will go on sale in China.

Following the Chinese release, GoSolarUSA will immediately focus on making the device available in the U.S.

The company notes that Micro Center and other distributors have already inquired them regarding the gadget.

“There’s no question that there is tremendous consumer demand for an item like the Apple Peel 520,” said Tyson Rohde, President of GSLO.

“There is truly a huge market for iPod Touch accessories, both in the U.S. and around the globe. With the Apple Peel 520, we believe we will have the most exciting and functional iPod accessory produced to date,” Rohde said.

“By developing and marketing the Apple Peel 520 in the U.S., GoSolarUSA aims to turn each of those portable game players into functional smartphones,” the company says, referring to Steve Jobs’ statements at Apple’s September 1 event when he proclaimed it to be the “number one portable game player in the world.”

“The Apple Peel 520 is a very affordable piece of technology that greatly increases the functionality and value of the iPod Touch,” Rohde said. “We believe strongly that this is something all Touch users will want, and it will be priced for any budget.”
