The Galaxy Tab did not copy the Apple iPad, according to the court

It was so long ago that a British court ruled that Apple would have to publicly apologize to Samsung that we didn't think it would actually happen.

Since Apple still had a grace period to prepare a counter of some sort, it got out of having to do it right away.

This decision stands in sharp contrast to the ruling issued by the San Jose district Court in California, where Apple was given an overwhelming victory.

Since Galaxy Tab didn't copy the iPad, according to the word of law, Samsung can sell it in the UK, and apparently the rest of Europe, all it wants.

Meanwhile, Apple has to run advertisements saying that Samsung did not copy its designs, both on its website and selected newspapers in the UK.

The ads must stay visible for at least six months and be redacted in Arial font size 11 at the least.
