Apple is launching the iPad in new territories this week. Reports have confirmed ten of them, so far: Taiwan, Denmark, Portugal, South Korea, Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Hungary and Finland.

Taiwan is known to have already started selling the tablet, while Finland has just posted the pricing scheme (courtesy of esphoneblog.com) as follows:

- iPad WiFi 16 GB 499€ - iPad WiFi 32 GB 599€ - iPad WiFi 64 GB 699€ - iPad WiFi + 3G 16 GB 599€ - iPad WiFi + 3G 32 GB 699€ - iPad WiFi + 3G 64 GB 799€

For comparison, Apple’s 16GB WiFi iPad sells for $499 (around 380 Euros) in the US, and £429 (508 Euros) in the UK.

The last time Apple announced that its “magical” iPad was to be released in additional territories was in July, when the Cupertino, Calif. giant said “iPad will be available in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore this Friday, July 23.”

This time around, the company’s press room is not featuring any announcement whatsoever, despite the fact that the iPad is set to debut in 10 (or even more) territories this week. Admittedly, it’s been almost a year since the gizmo was unveiled to the world.

iPad is currently available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and the US for a suggested retail price of $499 (US) for 16GB, $599 (US) for 32GB, and $699 (US) for 64GB for iPad Wi-Fi models and $629 (US) for 16GB, $729 (US) for 32GB and $829 (US) for 64GB for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G models.

Most recently, various wireless operators and independent retailers have taken turns in announcing attractive purchase options for the tablet, the latest of which comes from Softbank.

The Japanese carrier is giving away the base iPad model (16GB WiFi) with a two year contract. Learn more here.
