Apple has released a new update for users of its multimedia applications, including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Aperture, fixing what the company calls ‘minor issues’ exhibited by the applications since their last updates. A new digital camera RAW compatibility update is also available.

ProKit 7.0 for Snow Leopard 10.6.6 and later touches an array of applications from Final Cut Pro, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, and DVD Studio Pro to iPhoto, Aperture, Final Cut Express, Logic Pro, MainStage, Logic Express and even iAd Producer, Apple says.

Weighing in at 15.7 MB, this ProKit Update fixes the following minor issues, according to the Cupertino, California based tech giant:

· Improved support for PopOver style tooltips. · Improved support for Font Smoothing. · Addresses an issue with an unwanted gap between a menu and submenu. · Fixes leaks and improves stability for the color picker and timecode interface in Final Cut Pro and Motion. · Improved compatibility when importing assets from older versions of Soundtrack Pro. · Fixes an issue with the scrubber appearance in Logic Express and Logic Pro. · Addresses AppKit related crashes in Motion.

Apple says the update is recommended for users of all of the applications mentioned above. The update is freely downloadable via the link below but can only be applied to systems running Mac OS X 10.6.6 (Snow Leopard).

Applying the update will take up roughly 90 megabytes of space on your hard drive.
