Apple has issued an official report to remind the media that iPad 2 is scheduled to become available in retail stores across the U.S. tomorrow, including its own establishments where the most faithful of fans have been camping out for days to be the first to get their hands on the tablet.

In the report, Apple confirms that iPad 2 is on track to launch at precisely 5 p.m. local time at all 236 Apple retail stores across The States.

Those looking to order their own online can do so through Apple starting with 1 a.m. PT.

The Cupertino tech giant reveals that “Every customer who buys an iPad 2 at an Apple retail store will be offered free Personal Setup service, helping them customize their iPad 2 by setting up email, loading new apps from the App Store and more, so they’ll be up and running with their new iPad 2 before they leave the store.”

As expected, the tablet will be physically available not just at Apple’s own brick-and-mortar stores, but also through carriers AT&T and Verizon, as well as giant retailers like Best Buy, Target, Walmart and the usual Apple resellers.

Introduced on March 2nd by Apple’s CEO, iPad 2 improves in almost every aspect, starting with design - 33 percent thinner and up to 15 percent lighter than the original iPad - and ending with the hardware - A5 chip, dual cameras.

What the iPad 2 retains from its predecessor, making it an even more attractive purchase, are the battery life and price tag.

Thanks to the A5 SoC (system on a chip), the iPad 2 is able to ‘think’ and output stunning graphics a lot faster, yet still use a minimum amount of power.

As for the price, Apple was smart enough to make the best deals with suppliers in order to keep the $499 price for the entry-level WiFi iPad with 16GB of storage capacity, as well as for the rest of the pack, with their respective wireless and storage options.

The iPad 2 comes in black and white, unlike the controversial iPhone 4.

It also comes in GSM and CDMA variants, which allows customers to opt for an iPad 2 that works on AT&T’s network, or for one that uses Verizon’s radio waves to fetch data.
