This week, Apple slashed the price on all refurbished iPads sold through its US online store, bringing the cost of an original iPad tablet with Wi-Fi and 32GB down to $349, and an iPad 2 with the same specs to $399.

The highest price cut is in the first-generation department, where customers save as much as $180 on the original Apple tablet with Wi-Fi & 3G connectivity and 32GB of storage.

Wi-Fi only models are discounted by $150. Customers can save the same amount by purchasing a refurbished iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G 16GB - Black - AT&T (first generation) for $379.

As its name implies, the iPad 2 is second in line with a $100 discount for refurbished units with Wi-Fi and 32GB of storage. Anything above these specs spells only an $80 discount.

The first-generation iPad was originally released April 2010 and comes in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB flash drive capacities, boasts Wi-Fi + 3G connectivity (3G data plan sold separately) depending on the customer’s needs, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR technology, a 9.7-inch widescreen display, weighs 1.6 pounds and measures 0.5 inches at its thickest point.

The second-generation tablet, originally released March 2011, features pretty much the same specs, adding FaceTime with 2 cameras, HD video recording, a dual-core A5 processor, smart covers (sold separately), and weighs 1.35 pounds and is 0.34 inches thick.
