It's been a while since Google announced its plans to conquer the TV and distribute commercials provided by its advertising platform. However, the search giant made considerable efforts that brought the company closer to its dream. Take for example the numerous advertising tests started by Google that were meant to expand the advertising platforms to the offline media. The newspapers beta stage was only the beginning because the Mountain View-based firm selected a couple of the AdWords publishers and sent their ads to multiple US publications to make them available in the offline media. However, Google wanted even more and aimed to display its adverts on our TVs. The tests were started, the partnerships were made but... Apple managed to bring its commercials to the TVs before Google.

As you can see in the clip posted below the article, Apple is now advertising the recently released AppleTV, a device that was meant to bring the computer media to your TV. "It's on your computer. It's on your iPod. Now, it's on your TV," the commercial says. However, Google is continuously working to expand its advertising platform and we should expect some new and important steps soon.

Recently, Google signed a deal with Clear Channel, a company that hosts a considerable number of radio stations able to take the search giant's advertising platform to the next level. It all started from a test conducted in the past when Google decided to select some of the AdWords advertisers and convert their ads in the audio format. Then, the company sent them to several US radio stations, being another important step for the offline expansion. Some time ago, Google announced that it wants even more and will take the advertising solutions straight on the street using the billboards and multiple US shops.
