As every year goes, Apple is now encouraging its customers to pick out an iPod and have it engraved for their loved one, in anticipation of Valentine’s Day. Customers can decide on cool engravings created by Apple that they simply cannot miss, or they can custom order one with their own words. The service is free, as is wrapping up the purchased product in a nice gift package.

For those who aren't very familiar with the system, Apple has this service up for iPod and iPhone customers who buy the device as a gift. The customer buying the device can also have Apple engrave it with a message, to make the gift more personal, therefore more special. Apple suggests funny, yet romantic phrases like “You make my heart skip a lot of beats,” or “You make my heart sing. But this sounds better” (for iPods), or simpler messages like “Happy Valentine’s Day. See, I remembered.”

Don't just say you love them. Engrave it.

This Valentine’s Day, give the perfect musical duet — an iPod nano with a free personal engraving. Choose from nine irresistible colors and countless ways to say “I love you.”

The company behind the Mac operating system also allows customers to make their own choice on what the engraving should be. So, if your guy / girl is not that impressed by romantic phrases, you can just tell them something like “Here's your present. Hope we can make it through the month now.”

There's more! After choosing the engraving, customers can also order a signature gift wrap – free of charge until February 14.

“Add a special touch to your iPod by choosing our signature gift wrap,” Apple says. “We’ll ship your iPod in our beautiful origami-style gift box with a red ribbon and a personalized greeting card. Just check the box marked 'This is a gift' as you complete your order.”
