The latest version of Aperture pirated

Softpedia has recently learned that Aperture 2.1.2, the latest version of the Apple-developed photography software, has been pirated and made available for illegal download through file sharing web sites.

As avid Softpedia readers should know, Apple's recently updated application suites, iWork '09 and iLife '09, have also been pirated and made available via BitTorrent sites. Copies of Adobe's Photoshop CS4 Mac have received the same treatment, also including a Trojan, according to security firms.

Aperture 2.1.2 becomes the latest piece of Apple software that has been subject to illegal distribution. Trackers list the software as including a serial key, while a French version is (seemingly) also available. Whether or not leaked copies of Aperture contain the iServices Trojan remains to be seen. Pirates always learn the hard way, and we trust they'll continue their practices.

And now for a few details on Apple's photography software, Aperture.

Aperture is designed to assist professional photographers in post-production work. The software is optimized for speed, using a powerful search engine and Quick Preview mode for rapid-fire photo browsing. Thanks to these two elements that make up Aperture, even users working with large libraries will be able to get the best results. Using an expanded suite of adjustment tools including Recovery, Vibrancy, Vignette, and a soft-edged Retouch brush - all with the highest-quality RAW processing, professionals and casual users alike can enhance their photos with ease.

Released in October last year, “the Aperture 2.1.2 update improves the printing quality of books, cards and calendars ordered through the Aperture printing service. The update is recommended for all customers using Aperture 2,” Apple said in October on the Support section of its web site.

Softpedia doesn't encourage downloading non-approved / pirated Apple software via torrent sites. This article has a purely informational purpose and doesn't, in any way, suggest that Mac users should go forth with downloading pirated copies of Aperture 2.1.2 via means of file sharing services like BitTorrent.
