An alarm will sound if the item is removed from a person's pocket

Alarm systems are used by a lot of people these days, since burglars continue to be a part of life, but home protection systems don't really do anything about pickpockets, since they stay at home, obviously.

Still, where there's a will there's a way, and Cabel Kraft has a way to warn people when a pickpocket manages to swipe their wallet.

The man took a magnetic alarm similar to those attached to windows and modified it so that it goes off when the wallet is getting picked.

The alarm has to be stripped of most hardware in order to fit, and the reed switch had to be moved too, but the results cannot be questioned.

Kraft chose magnetic alarms because light-based ones don't really help when pickpockets tend to not open the wallets until they get far away from their marks.
