Antec, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance computer components and accessories for gaming, has recently announced the release of its latest addition to its Sonata Family line of quiet PC cases, the Sonata Elite. The new chassis provides quiet-conscious consumers traditional features, while also adding improvements like a distinct air flow design and sleek new aesthetics.

The Sonata Elite includes all the Sonata Family's core Quiet Computing technologies, like sound-deadening, two-layer (steel with polycarbonate) side and top panels, in addition to the soft silicone grommets sported by the dedicated hard drive compartments to ensure vibration reduction and to decrease the noise generated by the system.

The new Antec Sonata Elite chassis offers an innovative system cooling solution, which includes a side air intake vent designed to create a smooth airstream that flows naturally over the hard drive bays to the rear of the case. A quiet 120mm TriCool rear exhaust fan paired with a 120mm rear slot exhaust blower have been added to offer even more cooling, while sporting a three-speed control meant to balance noise and cooling. Moreover, there are built-in washable air filters included in the Sonata Elite chassis especially for preventing dust build-up and for promoting airflow.

The Sonata Elite has been designed so as to fulfill the needs of any system builder or PC enthusiast. The chassis features seven expansion slots, four internal 3.5" drive bays, three external 5.25" drive bays and an adapter for additional 3.5" devices. The power supply is not included, which offers system builders flexibility in customizing it. When it comes to I/O ports, the chassis sports front-mounted USB, eSATA and HD audio ports, while supporting Mini-ITX, microATX and Standard ATX motherboards.

“Antec set the standard in quiet computing with the original Sonata design,” said Scott Richards, senior vice president at Antec. “The Sonata Elite's cutting edge features meet and surpass the needs of silent PC enthusiasts by offering improved quiet technologies, advanced airflow and an exciting new take on the Sonata Family legacy.”

The price tag for Sonata Elite has been set around $119, at it has been made available at major retailers, e-tailers and distributors. Antec offers a Quality 3-Year Warranty for the Sonata Elite. More details on the chassis are available on the company's site.
