Antec has unleashed a significant number of audio solutions over the years and it is ready to once again expend its lineup, this time planning on unleashing the soundscience rockus 3D 2.1 speaker system, a sound system based on a proprietary 3D technology and set to be showcased at IFA Berlin.

Whereas 3D video offers high visual immersion, the soundscience rockus 3D 2.1 is meant to deliver and audio experience of the same level.

This product is aimed at the so-called Do-It-Yourself and PC upgrade markets and features 3D-tuned drivers with audio optimized for soundscience's 3Dsst technology, as well as dual-mode operation.

Music mode is meant for when consumers are enjoying simple music playback, whereas 3D mode is intended during the playback of games and movies.

The system itself is composed of two satellites and an active subwoofer with passive cooling, as well as a remote control pod for volume adjustment, muting, digital/analog input selection and 3D/music mode selection.

The satellites also boast anodized aluminum casings that reduce vibration and minimize distortions, allowing for cleared sound.

Not only that, but there is even an optical input, allowing for playback from such things as game consoles (PS3, Xbox360), among other things.

“People might be surprised to find out how many audio fanatics are part of the Antec team; we have a passion for great sound and wanted to launch our soundscience brand with a truly unique product.” says Scott Richards, senior vice president of Antec.

“The rockus speaker system delivers the expansive, enveloping audio experience of a traditional home theater system, yet it fits in any room. There’s no need for complicated whole-room setups or messy, difficult cabling. Plus, with analog and optical connectivity, it’s easy to get 3D sound from your computer, tablet, game console, mp3 player or any audio gear.”

Set to become available this fall, the Antec soundscience rockus 3D 2.1 speaker system will sell for $249.95.
