It is the third day of Computex and a very large number of computing and consumer electronic products have already been made official, among other things. Tablets seem to be the main point of interest, and Intel's Moorestown, the Qualcomm Snapdragon and the NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC are struggling to outdo each other. Notebooks have also debuted in large numbers. Meanwhile, though not as 'outstanding', hardware makers have also been showing off those components that, while less taken notice of by the media, are indispensable to any system.

Power supplies are one such component and Antec made sure to bring along an entire collection of them. The High Current Pro aren't just any PSUs though. They all boast Active Power Factor Correction (Active PFC) with a power factor of over 0.9, as well as DC-to-DV voltage regulators and Japanese capacitors. These parts are meant to increase stability and performance alike, which is quite relevant for an enthusiast-grade line.

In fact, these PSUs actually stand out through not just their endurance, but their high wattages and, most importantly, efficiency. With an 87% rating, they have already earned 80Plus Gold certification. Furthermore, all models come with a 135mm double-ball bearing fan and are certified for CrossFireX and SLI multi-GPU configurations. All they need is a solid motherboard to plug into enough extra hardware for the 10-pin Hybrid Cable Management connectors to be fully taken advantage of.

"Antec's High Current Pro series is the optimal choice for users seeking a first-class solution to power demanding system builds," said Scott Richards, senior vice president of Antec. "With all four models achieving 80 PLUS Gold certification, providing unequaled efficiency and performance, on all levels, and using top-notch components, the HCP series once again demonstrates Antec's leadership in power supply design and innovation."

The High Current Pro line features power supplies with four 12V rails (750W and 850W) and five 12V rails (1000W and 1200W). The 1200W model even comes with an extra 80mm fan at the rear. Prices are not mentioned, but availability is slated for July, along with 5-year warranties.
