Fans are probably still reeling from the overwhelming “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” but they’re expected to recover and prepare for a new adventure, out with Marvel’s “Ant-Man” next month. Because this is a smaller superhero than those audiences are already familiar with, Marvel is connecting the dots between them with a new TV spot and several posters.

Embedded below is TV spot number 3, which openly calls for The Avengers to come in and save the day. The gallery includes 3 posters released shortly after the video, which literally link Ant-Man to the Avengers.

They also provide us with a better approximation of this tiny hero’s size, by stacking him against Thor’s hammer, Captain America’s shield and Iron Man’s suit.

Because the trailer shows Paul Rudd asking for The Avengers’ intervention and the posters put his Ant-Man side by side with some of them, one would be right to assume we’re to expect at least some cameos in Marvel’s next release.

That may or may not turn out to be accurate, but it seems to me that the purpose of these new materials is solely to show that Ant-Man is also part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He may be tiny, but he’s in there with the greats.

“Ant-Man” is directed by Peyton Reed, and stars Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena and Judy Greer. It opens in theaters on July 17.
