As predicted by Intel CEO himself, more Bay Trail devices are to pop up this week. Now it’s Asus’ turn to introduce its new convertible, the Transformer Book T100.

The Transformer Book T100 is very light and thin, regardless that it’s used in tablet or laptop mode, and offers the ability to switch between the two in an instant.

The hybrid comes with a 10.1-inch display and a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, and it’s bundled with IPS technology and wide 178-degree viewing angles. All these specifications mean users will be able to work with the laptop in optimum conditions even in broad daylight.

Power comes from the brand-new Intel Atom Z3740 quad-core processor, which ensures a smooth and crisp experience.

Asus has also added the Instant On technology, allowing the device to super quickly recover from standby.

The Transformer Book comes pre-packed with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 meaning that Word, Excel, PowerPoint are also part of the bundle.

The device will be ready for shipping starting October 18, according to Amazon with prices set at $399 / €291.
