The British police arrested two men in Mexborough, Doncaster, and Warminster in Wiltshire, individuals suspected of connections with some of the internet attacks orchestrated by the infamous hacker groups Anonymous and LulzSec.

While the suspects remain in custody, police investigators have seized computer equipment which will undergo forensic examination by experts.

Online rumors say that one of the arrested men is Kayla, key in the LulzSec group. Kayla has been posing online as a 16 year old girl, who is not shy of interviews.

The arrests come after a series of DoS attacks and hacks against UK and US companies and organizations.

Recent law enforcement activities and the large number of suspected hacktivits group member arrests make state officials hope that the end for these types of offenses will come soon.

According to Sophos, media reports were made about the arrests of other alleged gang members. The suspects are aged between 17 and 26, which obviously means that these crimes are not just a way to earn money, but an unconscious manner of having fun.

The rapid arrests made in the past few days should make wannabe hackers reconsider the risks involved in such activities. State and government bodies are in a tight collaboration with security solution providers in the attempt to diminish these types of groups.

LulzSec and Anonymous are two hacker organizations that seem to share certain goals. In some cases, the attacks are a result of political and moral causes, while in others, they are made just for fun, as claimed by an organization member.

State officials have started the battle against these groups after they've accessed and stolen sensitive information from websites like Cia.gov.
