The hacktivists have published a statement on YouTube

Shortly after WikiLeaks published a draft of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement, Anonymous hacktivists published a statement threatening to do everything in their power to “destroy it.”

TPP is far worse than the controversial SOPA or ACTA. If it’s signed, copyright laws will be pushed to the limit in favor of corporations.

“The TPP would restrict the world's access to knowledge and destroy the internet as we know it. We will rise up and take back the internet, reclaim what is ours for the good of the earth and its people!” the initiators of the Anonymous campaign against TPP stated.

Hacktivists urge their supporters to start raising awareness of the “threat” because many people are unaware of the consequences.

No immediate plans have been announced for OpTPP, but we can expect to see some Twitter storms, website defacements and distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attacks.
