The official website of lawyer and politician Maurizio Paniz has been defaced by Anonymous as part of the operation launched against the Italian government, Cyberwarnews reports.

“Wikileaks says ‘Information wants to be free.’ And you dear lawyers? In addition to the money and reputation, you don`t want to enjoy some healthy freedom? Apparently not, so we decided to make you [expletive] off with quite a lot of attacks that begin a long process,” the hackers said.

The hacktivists are displeased with the fact that a court ordered the closure of a portal dedicated to the massacre of Vajont that took place between 1910 and 1963. They claim that these types of actions represent a threat to freedom of speech and the rights of Italian citizens.

At the time of writing, Maurizio Paniz’s website still displays the webpage set up by the hackers.
