Anonymous Cambodia has announced its intentions of joining activists and hacktivists from all over the world in protests scheduled for November 5, 2013, also known as Guy Fawkes Day.

“The government, in many ways, has failed its Cambodian citizens. We have been deprived of things which they have promised to give; what our late heroes have promised us to give. Let us remind the government that fairness, justice and freedom are more than words. They are perspectives,” the hackers stated.

Anonymous Cambodia has launched a campaign called OpCambodia. The latest target of the campaign is the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC.gov.kh), whose site has been disrupted by hacktivists for trying to silence victims of crimes against humanity.

In addition to Anonymous Cambodia, other hacker groups have joined the campaign. Earlier today, a hacker group called the Psycho Crew has breached and defaced the website of the Khmac Investment Company (khmacinvestment.com), a Cambodia-based sourcing and trading organization.

At the time of writing, the Khmac Investment Company’s website is still defaced.
