The hacker outfit known as AnonGhost allegedly funded multiple Palestinian charities with money stolen from credit cards belonging to Israeli citizens.

The financial information was gathered from hacking operations targeting different websites, as part of their contribution to Anonymous’ anti-Israel offensive dubbed #OpIsrael on the web.

Although it is not part of the Anonymous hacktivist group, AnonGhost joined the attack against Israel and published several lists with credentials for email and Facebook accounts that were claimed to belong to Israelis.

Apart from this, on April 7 (the date scheduled for starting the offensive action), the group also dumped into the public domain a partial list of payment card info, to demonstrate the results of their effort.

However, at the end of the list, AnonGhost announced that more card information was gathered but it would not be revealed to the public; instead, it would be used for charity purposes in the form of donations to organizations in Gaza.

According to The Daily Dot, Mauritania Attacker, the group’s leader and founder, said that the group paid to Palestinian charities about $18,000 / €17,000 stolen from the payment cards.

Proof of donations was posted on the page of fundraising campaign Keeping The Children Of Gaza Alive set up on the FundRazr website. Two payments were made by AnonGhost, one of $2,000 / €1,890 and another of $200 / €189.
