You could definitely not be able to tell she's 70 just by looking at her. Author and lifestyle guru Annette Larkins has been a raw vegan for the past 27 years, and she says that this is her own fountain of youth.

You can see a video of her here.

Annette is 70 years old, but she could easily pass for her husband's daughter or even granddaughter – something that still happens on a daily basis, she reveals.

She grows everything she eats in her backyard in Miami, from fruit to vegetables. This way, she doesn't put anything unnatural / artificial in her body.

Moreover, she collects rainwater to water her impressive garden, which includes everything from banana trees to all kinds of seeds, pineapple, spinach.

“I am very vibrant, I have lots of energy, as I told you before, I am up no later than 5:30 in the morning as a rule, and I am ready to go,” she says in the interview.

Another secret is that Annette isn't just vegan: she's a raw vegan. This means that all her food is unprocessed and uncooked.

“My diet consists of fruits, nuts, vegetables and seeds. I do a lot of sprouting of seeds and as you can see from my garden and of course these are the raw foods that I eat,” she explains.

She also juices – everything she grows into her garden can, and will be juiced.

Unlike Annette, her husband still eats meat. She made the decision to go vegan back when they still owned a meat shop, but he continued with his previous lifestyle.

Now, forced to take medication for an array of illnesses, he wishes he'd made the switch with her, because she doesn't even take an aspirin – she doesn't need it.

“She is an amazing person, she does everything. I mean she builds computers, makes all of her own clothes, grows her own food, speak three languages, it's amazing,” Annette's husband says.
