Indianna Jones is a well respected archaeologist, isn’t here for your lame pickup lines and stereotypes

For Red Nose Day, Anna Kendrick is poking some fun at Hollywood’s newest tendency of rebooting or remaking classic films with an all-female cast, by doing her own version of the hit adventure films “Indiana Jones.”

Since studio bosses are so determined to bring back classics in one form or another, Anna has an idea for the franchise that originally starred Harrison Ford as lead. She will, obviously, be taking over from him.

World, meet Indianna Jones: she is a respected archaeologist and she’s not here for your lame pickup lines and / or gender stereotypes. She is here to find the Holy Grail and she will do just that.

The comedic skit sees Kendrick, whom, by the way, you can also see in theaters right now with the successful musical comedy “Pitch Perfect 2,” in Indiana Jones’ famous hat, kakis and whip, chatting with a Templar guarding the Grail.

She is funny and direct and very efficient, and she won’t stand for old-fashioned notions that she’s just a pretty face.

Kendrick is one of the most popular actresses of the younger generation, enjoying a huge following online. She’s also an outspoken feminist, and even though she’s mostly portrayed in the media as a quirky airhead, has a good head on her shoulders, which makes her interviews a pleasure to read and watch.
