A pair of really angry birds unwillingly rained on Pope Francis' parade by doing no more and no less than attacking two white doves.

The incident happened just yesterday in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican, and the white doves that got pecked at were no ordinary birds.

On the contrary, at the time when the seagull and the crow decided to attack them, they had just been released by children standing next to the Pope in front of thousands of pilgrims.

According to Mirror, the release of the doves was intended to symbolize the Pope's hope for peace in Ukraine.

“I am close to Ukraine in prayer, in particular to those who have lost their lives in recent days and to their families,” Pope Francis reportedly told pilgrims.

“I hope that a constructive dialogue between the institutions and civil society can take place, that any resort to violence is avoided and that the spirit of peace and a search for the common good is in the hearts of all,” he added.

Seeing how the doves, together with the seagull and the crow, eventually disappeared from sight, it is currently unknown whether the white birds met their demise at the beaks of their attackers, or if maybe they somehow managed to escape.
