Just recently, Brad Pitt surprised longtime partner Angelina Jolie (and the entire world as well) when he proposed to her with a diamond ring he'd been working on for an entire year. Speculation on the big day is picking up speed.

As we also noted on previous occasions, the two are yet to set or announce a date, but that can't stop fans and tabloids from wondering about certain essential details.

Such is the case of the wedding gown, with many a fashion blog debating on which designer would look best on Angie on her big day.

According to the Daily Mail, she will probably be wearing Versace, with whose creations she's very familiar – and fond of.

“Newly-engaged Angelina Jolie is likely to plump for a Versace wedding gown. The 36-year-old actress is expected to marry Brad Pitt in France later this year,” the British publication writes.

“And the Italian fashion house is the early frontrunner to design her frock for the big day. Angie caused a sensation at the Oscars in February when she turned up wearing a Versace gown that was slashed to the thigh,” says the Mail.

“Now she has hired her favorite Hollywood stylist, Jen Rade, to help find a wedding dress with the same wow factor,” the tab says, with Versace “at the top of the list.”

Chances are that, even if they do get married this summer, Angelina and Brad will go out of their way to keep all the details out of the press, just like it happened with their engagement, which took even diehard fans by surprise.

Another example of how protective they are of certain details is how neither wanted to give an interview about the engagement or to confirm the rumors online.

Instead, they issued a statement which included a few words from Procop, the designer who worked with Brad in the creation of the bauble.

They only said the ring took 1 year to make and included one of the finest conflict-free diamonds around, which sparked a heated debate on its value, which was eventually placed between $250,000 (€190,737.7) and $1 million (€762,951).
