In July this year, Angelina Jolie is making her comeback to action films in the much-hyped “Salt,” which was initially meant to have Tom Cruise as the leading star but that was eventually re-written to accommodate a female lead. Though fans still have a long wait ahead until the film drops, the good news is that Angelina has already started promoting it.

In the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, the gorgeous actress not only shows off her much talked about back tattoos, but also reveals a few things that keep her motivated when it comes to doing physically challenging roles. For starters, there’s her kids, who provide her with all the incentive she needs to get in top shape for a part for an action movie, because she knows they will love the final product, once it’s out.

“I had just had two babies, and the push to be physically strong was very welcome at the time. The funny thing about having children is that now I am twice as motivated to do a cool stunt because my kids will like it,” Angelina says of doing “Salt.” She also reveals she’d love to work with her partner Brad Pitt again, but hasn’t yet found the right project for such a collaboration. “I love working with him. He’s my favorite actor to work with, and the only complicated thing is to find the right project,” the star explains.

Until then, though, Angelina promises fans one awesome ride with “Salt.” “Hopefully we’ve succeeded in making her more emotionally complex and physically meaner. We expect different things from men and from women, both emotionally and physically. For example, a man can have a character arc in which he discovers his heart at the end – that would never be a surprise for a woman,” Jolie says of changing the lead character from man to woman.
