14 DAY TRIAL // Angelina Jolie has the reputation of being very kind and generous and pretty much unlike all the other celebrities out there. Considering that she’s also one of the most famous women in showbiz, that’s no small trifle.
The actress lived up to this reputation the other day, when she “rescued” a fan from a crowd waiting for her outside Jon Stewart. The entire thing was captured on camera, both video and photo, and made Angelina an even more beloved star, if such a thing is possible.
What went wrong
Angelina came out of the show and stopped to sign autographs for fans who had gathered outside and had probably waited there for her for many hours on end. Among them was also a woman in a funny tiger hat, who calls herself Techna Deschanel on social media.
As you can see in the first video embedded below, screaming was heard at one point: that was Techna crying that she was having a panic attack because the other fans had become agitated because Angelina was showing signs she was getting ready to leave.
The paparazzi on the other side of the sidewalk can be heard making fun of the woman, yelling at Angelina that they too are having a panic attack just so they could get her attention.
Angelina to the rescue
Celebrities probably become resistant to all sorts of attempts meant to get their attention at such events, but Jolie saw that the woman was crying and seemed genuinely in distress. She reached out to her and asked her if she was alright, after which she had the bodyguards clear a path for her and had her removed from the crowd.
She didn’t stop here either: Angelina got the woman to sit down on the pavement to compose herself, wiped away the tears off her face and then snapped not one but two selfies with her, until she was satisfied with the result.
She also gave her an autograph and asked her several times if she was ok, before she turned away and left. More surprisingly, Angelina sat on her knees while taking the selfies and trying to comfort the crying fan – and even the most skeptic of you will admit that this is not something you see in a celebrity every day. Or at all.
Angelina flirted with Stewart, he flirted right back
Angelina’s interview with Stewart, aimed to promote her latest directorial effort “Unbroken,” was just as remarkable and sweet as her behavior afterwards.
You will find the video embedded below: the two flirted in the most adorable manner possible, and Stewart even joked that their portmanteau as a couple, had they ever dated, would have been Stolie.
They also exchanged pleasantries and inside knowledge on what it’s like to be a good director, but most importantly, Stewart managed to get Angelina to relax and open up like you haven’t seen her do these past few years.
Even if the crying fan with the panic attack was just an autograph hunter who stages stunts like this on the regular (as word online has it), Angelina’s response was beautiful. Add that to the adorable interview and yes, you could say Angelina Jolie had a brilliant day – PR-wise and not only.
Just to put it out there, I went there to the Daily Show with my Friend to get Angelina Jolie. We was practically in the back then went on the side in hope of getting her. Then the guards added another baracade. Chaos erupted to the point. I was getting squished to the point that I started to have a panic attack. She saw me struggling to the point that the security pull me out and sat down. Angelina didnt leave till she made sure I was ok. Usually I have no problem with getting celebrities but it was too overwhelming for me since I have tone down in the last two months. Im not going to lie about my medical condition since this is something that rarely happens to me and I hope it doesnt happen again.
