Andy Whitfield rose to international fame with Starz's first season of “Spartacus” but, sadly, he never got to make another: he died of cancer in September 2011, aged just 39. Here's how you can help make his death less of a tragedy.

After Andy was told his cancer had come back, he and his wife agreed to open the doors of their home to allow a camera crew to shoot a documentary about what they believed was his road to recovery.

They'd been told he had less than 25% chances of living, but they never lost hope, as the trailer for the documentary above more than confirms.

The project is called “Be Here Now” and desperately needs fans' help to come to light: donations are now possible here.

“Be Here Now” is more than a documentary: it's Andy's final wish, that of helping others who might be facing the same battle by letting them know that there is hope, regardless of the outcome.

If you loved Andy on “Spartacus” (who didn't?) and you want to help, check out the trailer above and read up on the project (and donate) here.
