Mobile phone maker Motorola has brought to the market a nice range of Android-based devices ever since about a year ago, when it launched the Motorola CLIQ, many of which sport various form factors and special features. One new such handset is rumored to be on its way to the market in the near future, the Motorola Jordan, designed for T-Mobile's airwaves.

The upcoming handset should hit the shelves with a rugged form factor, similar with what we've seen on the company's Motorola i1, but with a nice range of other enhancements, it seems.

One of these would be the Motorola Jordan's waterproof features, which make the handset usable even when submerged 10 meters (around 33-feet). The upcoming device is also IP67 certified.

Undoubtedly, this seems to be a pretty nice feature for an Android-based device though it still remains to be seen how many people would actually appreciate it.

In the meantime, we should note that the new mobile phone is expected to become available for purchase on the airwaves of wireless carrier T-Mobile sometime in November, a recent article on BGR notes.

This is not the first time this Android mobile phone emerges into the wild, as it was previously spotted in a leaked T-Mobile roadmap.

According to that leak, the Motorola Jordan would be slated for a November 3 release, which is in line with what BGR is currently reporting on the matter.

All in all, it still remains to be seen what other capabilities the new mobile phone would pack, though chances are that it would arrive on shelves as a mid-level or low-end handset.

However, nothing is certain on its specs until the device is made official, and the same applies to the phone's availability and pricing, though it might not be too long before T-Mobile and Motorola decide to make the announcement.
