Check out when your device will receive the new build

"One" thing’s certain, the HTC One (M8) and One (M7) handsets will soon receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

Actually, the new build has already started rolling out for the HTC One (M8) Developer Edition in the US, so we can be pretty sure the consumer HTC One (M8) is next in the pipeline to receive the new build.

But if you’re the owner of another HTC device, your prospects aren't all that great. You'll either have a long wait ahead of you or even worse, your device might turn out not to be eligible for the update.

HTC update roadmap for Lollipop leaks

Well, it appears HTC has a long list of devices it is planning to update at some point, but the key word here is patience. You’ll need lots of that.

According to a leaked roadmap coming out of HTCViet (Vietnamese website) only the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) will get the Lollipop treatment in the first quarter of the year.

In the second quarter, owners of the HTC One E8 (which is the polycarbonate clad version of the HTC One (M8)), HTC Desire EYE, HTC One M8 EYE and HTC Butterfly 2 should expect to see the new build arrive on their respective devices. That means Google’s latest should make it out in the April-June period. So as we told you, there are plenty of months to wait for that to happen.

In the third quarter of the year, HTC is expected to upgrade no more, no less than eight models including HTC One Max, HTC M7 – dual SIM, HTC Desire 816, HTC Desire 820u, HTC One M8 Mini, One E8 (China) and One M8 Eye (China).

Also in the third quarter or fourth quarter of the year, the company will provide Lollipop treatment to the HTC One M8 Mini #UL, HTC Desire 610, HTC Desire 820s, HTC Desire 510 and HTC One Mini.

Last but not least, the report says HTC will begin pushing out its latest Sense 7 UI after it launches the HTC Hima flagship in March, which will probably come equipped with it.
