CNN host puts fading actress on the RidicuList, explains his decision

Charged with DUI the other day, Amanda Bynes thought she'd found her savior in President Barack Obama who, she believed, should fire the cop who arrested her. Not quite so, Anderson Cooper says on the latest issue of the RidicuList.

“If you don’t know who she is, join the club. She apparently used to be on Nickelodeon, then was in the movie Hairspray and some other movies that you’ve probably never heard of,” Anderson says on the show.

He believes that Bynes is using her recent arrest and her Twitter account to stay relevant, and basically urges his viewers not to pay her any attention – because even a squirrel water-skiing is more newsworthy than Bynes.

“We’re not making light of the charges against her – it’s serious stuff. But the reason why she’s on the RidicuList is because like any sensible, quasi-celebrity, she has taken to Twitter to defend herself,” Cooper says.

He's only the latest voice to mock Amanda, once a promising actress, for taking to Twitter to plead with the President (no less!) to get her out of a jam she seems to be the only one responsible for.
