CNN correspondent Anderson Cooper has again fallen a victim to attacks from pro-Mubarak protesters, after a similar incident the other day. With all this, he tweets he will remain in Cairo for as long as possible.

The other day, as he was trying to get to the neutral zone between the two groups of protesters, Cooper and his crew were attacked: he was hit in the head ten times, he said.

As speculation of his condition spread online, CNN issued a statement to say no one was seriously injured. Cooper, in his turn, took to Twitter to assure people at home that he had not been seriously harmed.

Another attack on him and his crew occurred hours ago, but it has not changed Cooper’s determination to remain in Cairo to see how this plays out and to document the events.

“Thanks for tweets of concern… I’m sore and head hurts but fine. Neil and Mary Anne are bruised but ok too. Thanks,” Cooper wrote about the first attack.

He then returned to say they’d been roughed up again.

“Situation on ground in #Egypt very tense. Vehicle I was in attacked. My window smashed. All ok,” he wrote.

Still, he isn’t coming back home just yet: he and his crew are now at an undisclosed location from where they’ll be broadcasting live updates on the conflicts.

“Despite attacks on journalists, and great difficulties today, we will be on air tonight at 10pm live from Cairo,” Cooper says.

He’s not the only journalist to come to bodily harm while reporting from Cairo these days either, as The Hollywood Reporter (via Reuters) notes.

ABC News’ Brian Hartman, Katie Couric from CBS, Al-Jazeera’s Dan Nolan, Christiane Amanpour from ABC and BBC’s Jon Williams are only some of the media representatives who’ve been attacked in Cairo while reporting from there.

All of them tweeted about the attacks in a bid to make known the fact that the situation here was deteriorating.
