Hauppauge Digital has launched WinTV HVR-900, a small TV Stick that uses USB 2.0 for viewing TV programs on a laptop or desktop computer. The mini TV Tuner is small enough to be used as a keyring, but one with special properties, such as receiving digital and analogue TV signal.

Priced at 130 USD, WinTV HVR-900 also allows users to record TV shows on their PC hard disk or even on DVD, using 1,6 GB for an hour of recording.

The manufacturing company claims that the new TV Stick is very easy to install. Once connected, the software that comes bundled with WinTV HVR-900 scans all the available TV channels and even FM and digital radio channels.

Digital TV reception offers superior image quality and almost CD quality sound. WinTV HVR-900 is delivered with a two year warranty and the WinTV 2000 software, for viewing and recording TV shows.

This mobile TV solution comes at a higher price that its competitors, but the major advantage of WinTV HVR-900 is the reduced size and the fact that it is very easy to use and install. So now it's up to you: more mobility and ease of use but pricey, or cheaper but bigger.
