14 DAY TRIAL // Amy Winehouse has been having a few, very harsh years, often ending up in hospitals and rehab for an alleged drug and alcohol addiction. The singer recently returned in the UK – and she’s looking better than ever.
As fans must know, reports about Amy’s struggle to overcome her addiction have never ceased to make the rounds, with some even saying that she wouldn’t last for much longer if she didn’t go clean.
Just recently, the singer disappeared from the radar of the British media. Later on, it emerged that she’d gone to Barbados in a bid to remain sober. She returned the other night, looking as if she’d managed to be successful in her endeavor, The Sun notes.
“It’s the coldest the country has been since the ice age and Amy Winehouse is dressing for the weather. The singer landed back in Blighty after a month on her hols in Barbados,” the tab writes.
“Sporting her trademark uniform of vest, spray-on jeans and ballet pumps, the chart-topper looked tanned, healthy and relaxed. Her Caribbean trip has been one of the most sensible compared to recent years,” The Sun further says.
It would seem that, regardless of what skeptics were saying at one point, Amy is on the mend, having managed to get her life back on track, as she was also saying back in October this year, as we also reported.
In an interview also with The Sun from back then, the singer said that she’d been off drugs for the past 3 years or so, while also stressing she was determined to make it through for as much time as possible without relapsing.
She didn’t say a peep about alcohol, though, perhaps because pictures in the media would have proved her wrong.
“I’m much healthier now. I used to use drugs and I haven’t used drugs in almost three years. It’s not a hard thing,” she said.
She also revealed the thought of becoming a mom one day wasn’t new to her.
“I’m of the age when you start thinking about it. Although I’m not going to be getting pregnant in the next nine months,” she said on the same occasion.
