Amy Winehouse starts Twitter feud with Mark Ronson, which could push back her 3rd album indefinitely

Amy Winehouse has turned her back on producer Mark Ronson, who produced her previous album, the best-selling multi Grammy-winning “Back to Black.” In doing so, hopes for another album coming soon go down the drain.

Winehouse and Ronson worked together on “Back to Black” and also had plans, confirmed by both, of going back in the studio again for a follow-up album.

Over the weekend, Amy lashed out at the famous producer, telling him on her Twitter he was as good as dead to her for taking all the credit for her own work.

“ronson you’re dead to me; one album i write an you take half the credit- make a career out of it? don’t think so BRUV,” Amy reportedly wrote.

As The Guardian notes, if this is really Amy behind the Twitter account, then chances of a new album coming from her this January go significantly down.

The account, @amyjademermaid, is not a verified one but it does have over 40,000 followers, with the aforementioned publication saying that popular fakes are almost immediately removed by Twitter.

Moreover, “Winehouse’s most recent producer, Salaam Remi, and her father both appear to follow it,” The Guardian notes, which must mean it’s the official account of the singer, even though not yet verified.

“Winehouse’s comments were reportedly a response to an interview Ronson gave on Friday, when he told Jools Holland he had ‘created’ the songs on Back to Black out of Winehouse’s song demos,” the same publication says of what may have prompted the harsh response.

Sadly, this is more than just a simple feud because, if this is really the case, it could mean another delay for Amy’s third studio album, much to the exasperation of fans worldwide.

“In July, Winehouse said her long-awaited third album would be ‘six months at the most.’ Although she had been working with Remi and others for a long time, including sessions in St Lucia, she seemed to have reunited with Ronson, performing with him at a gig in London,” writes The Guardian.

“Ronson said she hadn’t ‘begun working’ on the Back to Black follow-up yet, but that when she was ready, they would ‘go down to the studio together’,” says the e-zine.

This means that, if Ronson is out of the picture, then all plans to have an album by January 2011 are also out of the picture – unless the tweet comes from a Winehouse impostor.
