Once upon a time, when Commodore still sold computers and Apple wasn't the hottest name in tech, there was an operating system that went by the name of AmigaOS, and now a company called Hyperion Entertainment wants to revive these days with a new netbook that will run the OS.

A prototype of this laptop is already in testing and OS News states that it includes 512MB of RAM, a small amount of flash storage, integrated graphics, 2 USB ports, as well as WiFi, and Ethernet connectivity.

We don't know if these features will be ported in the final version, but Hyperion Entertainment has revealed that its creation will definitely go with a PowerPC processor seconded by AmigaOS 4.

Sadly, we also haven't found out when the netbook is expected to come out, but Hyperion is aiming to retail this for between $300 and $500 (215 and 359 Euros).
