Document sharing and ebook subscription service Scribd has made its way to the Kindle Fire tablets, as the dedicated app has been released today and is currently available for download.

Scribd is an incredibly lofty place for research / browsing and users can stumble upon really rare documents in its midst. And with the new Kindle Fire app, Amazon tablet users have now the opportunity to store relevant content.

Scribd already offers apps for the iOS and Android ecosystems, but branching out to other platforms, especially one build around reading, is definitely an important step.

The service offers more than 100,000 books to choose from and notably the app enjoys support from famous publishing house HarperCollins. Nevertheless, Scribd still has some work to do in terms of getting other major book publishers onboard. One baby step at the time.
