So between October 18 and November 1, consumers interested in having a Kindle friend in their life, can purchase the 16GB version of the slate for Rs 17,999 / $292 / €214 while the 32GB ships for Rs 21,999 / $357 / €262
For those of you wondering why the 7-inch Kindle Fire didn’t get the discount treatment, we’re here to remind you that it did, a month ago, so it’s available for purchase starting at Rs 11,999 / $195 / €143.
The 8.9-incher features a dual-core TI OMAP4470 processor and an attractive display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It packs only a camera in front but has Dolby Audio and Wi-Fi.
However, the skimpy Amazon App store and the lack of content ecosystem in India, might make customers think twice before they take advantage of the offer.
