An impressive time-lapse video manages to capture the most important highlights of the capital city of Qatar, Doha, and takes us in an incredible journey. In just 220 seconds, the clip created by photographer Michael Shainblums shows the culture, the buildings and the beautiful landscapes of the city located on the coast of the Persian Gulf.

The video, titled “Welcome To Doha,” captures both the old world, with its infinite dessert and ancient culture, and the busy and ever-growing new city with skyscrapers and millions of lights. The time-lapse footage puts together an astonishing view, showing some of the mind-blowing landmarks that usually amaze tourists who visit this beautiful city.

In this brilliant piece of work, Shainblums wanted to capture not only the environment around him, but also the culture, which combined with the urban landscape makes Doha one of the most unique settings to experience.

“Welcome To Doha illustrates the persistent blooming of this marvelous metropolis, the evolution of it’s history from the old and new world, and the quintessence of the countries culture; all of this captured through the art form of Timelapse photography,” the description of the video says.

The entire project is funded by Zoom Arts, and was meant to capture not only nature but the culture and city as well. According to Fstoppers, Shainblums spent an entire week shooting to create this film.
