They say dogs are the most forgiving life companions anyone could ever ask for. Still, something tells me Amanda Bynes' dog will have to conjure up all his love and understanding before he can even begin to think about forgiving his owner for setting him on fire.

The actress has recently had a new breakdown, sources say.

This time, she decided to take things to a whole new level and show the world how upset about life she was by using a gas canister and a flaming cloth to start a fire on a driveway in Thousand Oaks, CA. She fled the scene just minutes after being rescued by a passerby.

Since starting fires on your own isn't all that fun, the actress brought her dog along.

The man who spotted the actress starting the fire and who rushed to put it out later told the press that, when he got to Amanda, her pant leg was on fire.

The man saved the actress, and said that, as far as he could tell, she did not suffer any major injuries. Her dog, on the other hand, appears to have been burned.

I can only assume the dog got injured while trying to help the arsonist wannabe. Way to go, Amanda!
