September is soon coming to an end and that means only one thing: George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are going to walk down the aisle in a matter of days. As for the preparations for the event that is said to be taking place in Venice, a report claims that most of the bill, if not all of the bill, will be covered by Amal's family.

Previously, it was believed that the famous actor was paying for most or at least half of the wedding, but this is shown to be incorrect by Us Weekly. One source claims that “Crazy enough, her family is paying for most of it!”

Lebanese tradition demands that the parents of the bride pay for the wedding

Amal is of Lebanese descent, and her parents, Ramzi and Baria, are said to be keen traditionalists. As a result, they had a say in the date and location of the nuptials, and they insisted on this September in Venice. For that, they are also footing the bill for the wedding, as required by Lebanese tradition.

Though successful in their respective fields, Amal's parents aren't by any means millionaires. Baria is an editor at the Al Hayat newspaper who has interviewed big public figures such as Bill Clinton and Tony Blair. Amal's father, Ramzi, is a retired business professor who taught at the Beirut University.

This begs the question of how the couple will be able to afford the million-dollar event that is taking place at a medieval castle in Venice. Insiders report that the wedding will take place on September 27 and that it's going to be a very classy, black-tie affair.

An Alexander McQueen dress, a 7-star hotel reception, Lebanese food and Andrea Bocelli

Other reports indicate that the couple is going to hold an intimate dinner for loved ones at Hotel Cipriani. The wedding itself is going to take place at the Ca' Farsetti, a stunning 13th century castle. Amal has chosen her younger sister Tala as her bridesmaid, while Rande Gerber is going to be Clooney's best man.

The paparazzi have been following Amal around London and all evidence points to the fact that she's going to wear an Alexander McQueen gown on her wedding day, just like Kate Middleton. The human rights lawyer was seen last week exiting from the East London headquarters of the fashion company.

The wedding party itself is going to take place at the Aman Canal Grande Hotel, which boasts an impressive 7-star rating. It is located in the 16th century Palazzo Papadopoli. At the reception, guests will be able to snack on both Lebanese and Italian food, and Andrea Bocelli, the famous opera singer, is said to be making a special appearance.
