It's a regular war of the divas. Amal Alamuddin, the woman who managed to break George Clooney's bachelor streak, is said to be taking hints for the wedding dress from the royal wedding. Kim Kardashian is not going to be pleased.

A source close to the human rights lawyer has told Hello Magazine that Amal is in the market for a wedding dress since her Italian nuptials to George Clooney are just around the corner. That's why she has recently paid a visit to Alexander McQueen, the same fashion designer that made Kate Middleton's dress for her royal wedding.

Amal and her mother Baria went in Alexader McQueen's London headquarters and spent there a healthy two hours, during which time it's speculated that she set up the plans for the wedding gown. After more than two hours talking, she was seen hugging a seamstress as she left.

This can only mean that Amal is going to wear an Alexander McQueen dress at her wedding, probably one similar to Kate Middleton's. This was the original plan of Kim Kardashian, who is the biggest royalty fan on the planet and has dreamed about being a princess ever since she can remember. However, things didn't really turn out the way she wanted, and Kim opted for a Givenchy wedding dress on her day of days.

Previously, it was believed that Amal was going to choose a designer for her wedding dress from her native Lebanon. At the top of that potential list were Elia Saab and Zuhair Murad, but Amal has surprised everyone by selecting a quintessentially British designer from London.

Considering the fact that Amal has chosen London as her adoptive town, it's then fitting that she opted for one of the leading fashion houses in London for her wedding dress design. Speculation leads us to think that Amal's dress is going to be similar to that of Kate Middleton's, which has since gone down in history books as one of the most iconic royal wedding dresses in history.

As far as the wedding goes, the exact date and location are still unknown, but they have been narrowed down to September, somewhere in Italy, most likely Venice, where George and Amal were seen taking a trip a few months ago, presumably to scout possible wedding venues.

Up until a couple of months ago, it was widely accepted that the wedding was going to take place at George's Italian villa on the shores of Lake Como, but insiders have revealed the actor isn't keen on bothering the small community and his neighbors with the hassle brought on by a celebrity wedding (international media, paparazzi and lots of traffic).
