Altis Gates has already been announced here, at Softpedia. At the time that article was written, no in-game images were available, but, this time, the publisher made available a set of seven screenshots, so you can make yourself an idea about the upcoming IGG title.

According to IGG, Altis Gates is a turn-based 2D MMORPG that introduces groundbreaking diversification, letting the players shift-shape at whim. The interactive-pet system provides the players with the possibility to fight side by side with their pets.

Their personality and animation will enable them to respond to their treatment and experiences, mood-changing and spoiled-brat acting being part of their nature. Thanks to these feats, you shouldn't be surprised if your pet suddenly starts telling you jokes, pretends to be sick or asks for a snack. Its loyalty to you as its master depends entirely on your time dedicated to training it.

As far as the gameplay is concerned, at its release, Altis Gates will rely on ten or so types of quests, among which you'll find Storyline, Suppression or Chamber of Commerce. Challenges such as Space Rifts or Elemental Lords are designed to maintain your interest, by providing surprises, rewards and a lot of fun.

Your journeys and travels in mysterious lands can be done by riding elevators or sky gliders. The detailed architecture is modeled on European classical styles with added elements of myth, legend and imagination.

There are no concrete details on the gameplay mechanics, but the developing team took full advantage of the DirectX possibilities, as well as of the advanced 3D particle effects in order to design vivid combat scenes and graphics. The dynamic environments will abound, details like the sluggish trickle of water or the thin curls of smoke being part of the visual experience.

As IGG announced, the developer of Altis Gates achieved the performance of creating games that peaked two million users in China. Gathering such a number of players is no slim pickings and the amount of novelty announced in the press release for Altis Gates sounds disturbingly provocative, to say the least.
