JRPG fans rejoice, as well-known developer and publisher Kemco has just released Alphadia Genesis, a classic Japanese Role-Playing Game that should appeal to all genre addicts.

The game is published by Marvelous Europe and it’s the first JRPG title ever launched by Kemco on Steam. Beginning today PC gamers can purchase Alphadia Genesis via Steam at a discounted launch price of €11.99 / £8.79.

Alphadia Genesis may be just the first in a new franchise, but that is likely to depend on how well the game will be received by JRPG fans.

Judging by the feedback received since the game was officially unveiled, Kemco may be tempted to continue to release Alphadia games in the future.

“The feedback and reception since our initial announcement has been fantastic. In the past, niche games like Alphadia Genesis may not have been possible here in the West, but digital distribution and the Steam platform have made this possible,” said Steven Tarry, marketing manager, Marvelous Europe.

Alphadia Genesis has been initially launched on Android and iOS mobile platforms. It also made it to Wii U back in November 2014 and now it's being ported to PC.

This may be the first in a new JRPG series by developer Kemco

So with the help of Valve’s team, more JRPGs are expected to arrive in the West in the coming months. Alphadia Genesis comes with some Steam-specific features in tow as well, such as trading cards, achievements, cloud save feature, and fully redesigned controls for PC gamers.

Developer Kemco promises funny and interesting characters, as well as a twisting turning narrative and tactical turn-based combat.

Each character in Alphadia Genesis has his/her own distinct personality, and that will definitely help create a strong bond between the player and the heroes.

There are no details on how many hours the game will keep you busy, but Kemco promises the plot of Alphadia Genesis is packed with twists and turns.

Graphics-wise, the game is made in a 16-bit style reminiscent of classic JRPGs. The 3D battles are fully animated and expect some decent effects as well.

Also, keep in mind that while Alphadia Genesis is voiced by famous Japanese actors, the subtitles are in English.
