14 DAY TRIAL // Romanian mobile device manufacturer Allview announced the launch of its latest tablet, dubbed the Viva i8, the first slate from the maker’s portfolio to sport an Intel processor.
The producing company claims that this is the lightest and thinnest slate it has ever built so far. The device is only 7.2 mm / 0.2 inches thick and weighs 312 grams / 0.68 lbs; therefore, it can be easily handled and carried anywhere you go.
Allview has gone all the way with the model, creating a very stylish device featuring an aluminum backplate.
Allview has tested the prowess of the device with the AnTuTu Benchmark test and ended up receiving 29,000 points for it. Judging by the fact that the upcoming Galaxy Note 12.2 tablet managed to gather 35,901 points, this is very impressive indeed.
The tablet features a 7.9-inch IPS display and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The company has added an OV 5645 5MP main camera that also allows for Full HD video recording.
The Smart2view technology is also embedded, allowing any TV with an HDMI port to connect with the tablet and to stream video and audio content from it.
With the Viva i8, you won’t have to worry about finding your way in a strange place, as the tablet boasts a GPS SIRF receptor. It also embeds Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities. Allview will provide customers with an optional super slim cover, as well.
With Wi-Fi Direct users can quickly transfer files, images, music and films faster than they would be able to via Bluetooth 4.0.
The Viva i8 will be there to entertain you at all times, thanks to its 4600 mAh battery and the innovative Intel Atom Z2580 processor with Intel Hyper-Threading technology. This means users will be able to enjoy the tablet up to 8 hours on a single charge. In stand-by mode, the slate can last up to 19 days.
