Among the Android-based smartphones that Sony Ericsson might be set to bring to the market during the ongoing year, we can count a successor of the company's Xperia X10 mini pro, which has been photographed not too long ago all dressed up in white.

This is not the first time we learn that Sony Ericsson is considering the release of a successor for the popular device, though it is the first time that a white version of this smartphone emerges.

The Xperia X10 mini pro was launched last year along with the Xperia X10 mini as entry-level flavors of the high-end Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 smartphone.

The X10 mini pro features a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, and the newly spotted successor of the handset seems to include the same keypad.

Previously, we saw the black version of the smartphone with the keyboard slid-out, but the white variant was photographed closed.

Nothing was officially unveiled on this mobile phone, but Sony Ericsson is expected to announce it in the coming months.

What is known on it for the time being includes the fact that it might include an 800MHz application processor, complemented by Adreno 205 GPU. The handset should pack 384MB of RAM.

The same as the original device, the new smartphone should run under Google's Android operating system.

The image available with the said white version of the upcoming device is a rather small one, and there are not too many details that can be extracted from it.

However, the forthcoming device appears to include a similar design as the Xperia X10 mini pro, as the guys over at xperiablog note in a recent article.

With Sony Ericsson planning to dominate the Android Market in the not too far future, we would not be surprised if more info on this Android device starts to emerge soon. A sequel for the Xperia X10 mini was rumored too.
