“The Simpsons” continues to be the longest-running animated show on television today, and as producers are getting ready to start off season number 26 by killing off one major character from the story, there has been an announcement that all the previous episodes will be made available online for viewers on-demand.
The news comes via Entertainment Weekly, which claims that FXX plans to introduce a new “Simpsons World” portal and make it available to its customers in America. Those who enter will be able to watch any and all episodes from the show on-demand.
If this news whets your appetite for a Simpsons marathon, you should be aware of the fact that FXX will make the episodes available not just on computers but also on a wide variety of other platforms, including iPhones, iPads, Xbox Ones, Xbox 360, and Android. Those with Smart TVs and additional set-top devices will also be able to access the Simpsons World portal.
In other Simpsons-related good news, there is a mega-marathon planned to feature all 522 episodes ever produced in the show's 25-year existence, as well as “The Simpsons Movie.” The show is scheduled to air on August 21, giving you plenty of time to prepare yourself for the event.
