iOS developer tap tap tap is featuring an all-new version of its impressive Camera+ photography app on iTunes. The new release brings more new features than the app originally launched with.

Currently on sale at $0.99 (0.79 EUR), Camera+ 3 has a shiny new icon, dramatically improved sharing functionality, multiple photo library import, and workflows.

Tap tap tap explains that, “Sometimes you want to shoot a bunch of pics in a row without having to think about things like editing and sharing. And sometimes you want to do just the opposite and edit and share each pic you take, right after you take it. Workflows easily provide you with the flexibility to do it either way.”

The new app also gains focus & exposure locks, and new APIs.

Why new APIs? Well, tap tap tap says they’ve created these application programming interfaces so that other people can integrate Camera+ into their apps, “and to create web services that make use of the many, many photos that have been shared by Camera+ users.”

WordPress, Tweetbot, Twitterrific, Foodspotting, and Twittelator Neue all have Camera+ integration thanks to these new APIs.

Furthermore, Camera+ 3 features an improved Lightbox UI, the ability to create web links, and tuned Clarity.

Of the last enhancement, tap tap tap says: “Often imitated but never duplicated, Clarity is one of the things that makes Camera+ what it is. And now it’s even better, especially if you’re using an iPhone 4S.”

People enjoying to take photos using a real, physical button will be glad to learn that Camera+ now allows this through the iPhone’s volume buttons. According to the developers, “VolumeSnap is our birthright.”

The new app also has Notifications built-in. Not for other apps, but for Camera+ updates, news, and contests.

“We’ve implemented notifications so they’re not intrusive and they’re opt-in only,” says tap tap tap. Finally, the new version fixes lots and lots of bugs. You can download the updated Camera+ below. It requires iOS 4.0.
