Just yesterday, Greenpeace announced that all the non-Russian nationals arrested following a protest against oil and gas giant Gazprom back in September had received their exist visas and had left St. Petersburg.

Of the 26 environmentalists who are not from Russia, one, i.e. Swedish activist Dima Litvinov, left the country on Thursday. 24 others said goodbye to Russia on Friday, and Polish national Tomasz Dziemianczuk followed them on Sunday.

Despite the fact that the Arctic 30 have all been freed from prison and all the charges filed against them have been dropped, Russian authorities are yet to return their personal belongings and their ship, i.e. the Arctic Sunrise, to them.

Currently, Greenpeace is working with the country's Investigative Committee to solve this problem.

“Greenpeace International is calling on the Investigative Committee to facilitate the return of the ship and the personal belongings of the Arctic 30 now that the criminal prosecution against the Arctic 30 has been terminated,” the organization writes on its website.

Here's hoping that the Arctic Sunrise will soon also be allowed to leave Russia, and return to Amsterdam, its port of registry.
