14 DAY TRIAL // Alison Sweeney, who has been on the hit soap opera “Days of Our Lives” for an impressive 21 years, joining the cast when she was just 16, has a very emotional piece of news for fans. This will be her last year on the show, she tells Ellen DeGeneres.

Alison says the decision is all hers because she wants to spend more time with her family because, in the 7 years she’s done “Days of Our Lives” and hosted Biggest Loser, she never had time for a proper vacation.
She also says that she’ll be on the soap for the rest of the year and that producers are yet to decide which will be her final episode.
Speaking of which, Alison says that, while she’s a believer in happy endings, she thinks her character Samantha “Sami” Brady probably deserves a more twisted ending, something like it AMC’s hit series “Breaking Bad.” Of course, Ellen jokes that Sami will turn into a meth cook and dealer.
Alison also brought with her a video of her adorable daughter singing Katy Perry’s “Roar,” but all that cuteness probably did little to make fans feel a bit better after the shocking news.
