It's Monday and the manufacturers still rush to announce a new product powered by Intel's latest (released officially on Friday) Core 2 Duo processors line-up. The last one of them, up until now at least, is Alienware, part of Dell Corporation, a company known for its great designs and advances systems, which said that it has developed a new Alienware P2 Full-Tower Case which can be seen on select desktop workstations, including the Area-51 7500, Area-51 ALX, Aurora 7500, and Aurora ALX.

And now the juicy stuff? The Area-51 7500 and Area-51 ALX feature the new Intel Core 2 Extreme and Intel Core 2 Duo processors, but also Alienware's notebooks, including the popular new Area-51 m5750 and Area-51 m5550, will be powered by the new Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processor when it becomes available later in third quarter.

"We developed the Intel Core 2 Extreme and Core 2 Duo processors from the ground up to optimize the experience of gamers and media enthusiasts," said Jeff McCrea, Vice President, Sales and Marketing Group and Co-President, Intel Americas, Inc. "Alienware systems powered by these processors are ideal for customers seeking exceptional performance and improved power efficiency for a broad range of applications."

The new Alienware P2 Full-Tower Case is 'a flagship Alienware gadget', as it features illuminated front and side Alienware badges, I/O port icons, external drive bays, and front air intakes, FireWire, USB 2.0 and audio ports, a big power button (you can not miss it) integrated with front Alienware badge so users no longer have to open the case's front door to power the system.

As you expected, this little baby comes with an enhanced airflow and more effective system cooling to reduce noise levels and a tool-less access to interior for quick and easy upgrading.

"Beyond its visually stunning appearance and design, the Alienware P2 Full-Tower Case dramatically improves thermal performance, device connectivity and ability to effortlessly upgrade," said Frank Azor, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Worldwide Product Group at Alienware. "Combined with cutting-edge Intel Core 2 Extreme and Intel Core 2 Duo processors, Alienwares new desktop systems continue to enhance our reputation as the undisputed performance and innovation leader in the high-performance PC space."
